Catching Up With Bermane Stiverne – Bermane Stiverne is the former WBC world heavyweight champion who is looking to get over a spell of bad luck and get active again in the heavyweight division.

Stiverne lost the WBC world title to Deontay Wilder back in January of 2015 and he has fought just once since then, beating veteran Derric Rossy in November of 2015. Since then, Stiverne was scheduled for an Interim world title fight against Alexander Povetkin in Russia, but the Russian tested positive for a PED and the fight was scrapped with Stiverne already in Russia. After that, Stiverne was declared the mandatory challenger to Wilder but that second fight between the two men has failed to materialize.

Stiverne, originally from Haiti, is now a Las Vegas resident and the former champion turns 39 in November of this year.
