Beltran vs Moses – This Friday night in Las Vegas lightweight Raymundo Beltran takes on Paulus Moses with the vacant WBO world title at 135 pounds on the line. For Beltran it is a chance to earn a world title that has long eluded him. Beltran is fighting at home and he enters the fight a heavy favorite and for the 36 year old, there is the feeling that his time is here.
There to ruin Beltran’s plans is Moses, a former world champion who held the WBA world title back in 2009 and 2010. In 2012, he traveled to England and losst a unanimous decision to Ricky Burns in his last world title shot. SInce then Moses has tiled in his native Namibia ging 12-1 in the interim. Moses and Beltran are both hard workers and the Namibian comes with a hard luck story of his own.
The fight takes place in Reno, Nevada and is the main event of a Top Rank offering that has a solid undercard on the table. Eight fights in all are planned by TOp Rank, the featured fights for the evening are below.
