Mikey Garcia Talks To TBC’s David Avila – Undefeated lightweight Mikey Garcia (36-0) became the WBO world champion at 135 pounds back on January 28th of this year when he scored a clinical and decisive third round stoppage over previously unbeaten Dejan Zlaticanin of Montenegro.
Garcia has already held world titles at featherweight and super featherweight and it would seem that the sky is the limit for the 29 year old as he targets bigger fights and bigger paydays in 2017. After WBA lightweight champion Jorge Linares’ virtuoso performance in a March title defense against Anthony Crolla, a showdown between the pair has been one of the most talked-about fights since.
