The Deontay Wilder vs Artur Szpilka bout for the WBC World Heavyweight title is just two weeks away. Talk has been heating up that WBC Mandatory contender Alexander Povetkin will be next up for the winner, and that the once-beaten Russian contender is willing to face Wilder or Szpilka in the United States in this coming year. The January 16th fight at the Barclay's Center in New York is backed up by the IBF Heavyweight title tilt between Charles Martin and Vyascheslav Glazkov.

The Dominic Breazeale vs Amir Mansour heavyweight clash originally scheduled for January 16th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn has been bumped a week on the calendar and will now take place on January 23rd at the Staples Center in support of the Danny Garcia vs Robert Guerrero welterweight main event. The move puts Breazeale and Mansour on the Premier Boxing Champions broadcast scheduled to air nationwide on FOX.

Top Rank's undefeated Heavyweight prospect Andy Ruiz Jr, who is (26-0) is scheduled to face Danny Batchelder on January 16th in a fight set to air on UniMas. Ruiz, who is just 26 years old, is coming off a pair cancelled fights in December. Bob Arum expressed that he would like to see Ruiz Jr on the April 9th, Manny Pacquiao vs Tim Bradley undercard.

In England, all eyes will be on the O2 Arena on the 16th when David Haye returns from a three year layoff to face Mark de Mori. Haye, a former Cruiserweight and Heavyweight world champion is a huge favorite, paying (-3000) over de Mori, who boasts a (30-1-2) overall record but is not being given much of a chance, returning at (+1500).

European Heavyweight titleholder Robert Helenius (22-0) looks to be setting his sights on a fight with Dereck Chisora. Chisora has gone (4-0) since July of 2015, staying active and building up his resume. Helenius was originally slated to face undefeated Erkan Teper of Germany, but Teper was suspended for two years starting in December.

Word has come in that an agreement has been formalized between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko securing their re-match. No exact date or location were announced, and the May timeframe still appears to be the most likely date for that bout.
