Steve Farhood and Michael Woods analyze the Gennady Golovkin win over Curtis Stevens. Golovkin defeated Stevens when the fight was stopped in the eight round by Stevens´ corner and the referee, Stevens´ had taken enough punishment from GGG to that point and had been down on the second round.

Golovkin fought an “almost perfect” fight, but Curtis Stevens won the respect of the public, many didn´t expect him to give a good show against Golovkin considering Golovkin´s knockout record and the skills he´s shown in the past few fights, Stevens however gave Golovkin a good battle.

Golovkin is now considered the best middleweight fighter out there and public asks to see him measure up to other greats like Sergio Martinez. Gennady´s next fight date will be February 1st, opponent yet to be determined.
