Julian Williams Talks Ishe Smith Post-Fight – Philadelphia’s Julian Williams moved his record to 24-1-1 last night with a unanimous decision win over veteran Ishe Smith at the Cosmo in Las Vegas. Williams is hoping the win against the crafty Smith will put him in line for another shot at a world title at 154 pounds.
As always, our roving cameraman Marcelino Castillo was live at the scene and he got a few words in with Williams in the post-fight aftermath. The 27 year old just went ten hard rounds but after the fight just a few red marks around his eyes showed it.
Williams has now won two straight since his December of 2016 loss to Jermall Charlo with the IBF world title on the line. Williams is hoping that Saturday’s performance propels him to the top of the list of title contenders. The list of current world champions at 154 pounds includes Erislandy Lara, Jermall Charlo and Jarrett Hurd and all three work under the Premier Boxing Champions banner. Is a title shot next for Williams?
