Kuzmin vs Mansour Ends After 3rd RD Head Clash – Heavyweight action in Moscow on Monday night saw Sergey Kuzmin versus Amir Mansour come to an unsatisfying end. The heavyweights were settling into what could have been a hard hitting affair but a clash of heads in round three caused cuts on both men and led the physician in attendance to stop the fight. The WBC’s International heavyweight title remains vacant as the fight goes down as a technical draw.
Former light welterweight world champion Eduard Troyanovsky made short worked of Carlos Portillo of Paraguay, getting the stop in the opening round of their twelve round bout. Troyanovsky lost his IBF world title at 140 pounds to Julius Indongo via first round knockout in December of 2016 and this win over Portillo gives him a second win in a row.
