Meet WBC 154 LB Title Challenger Erickson Lubin – This Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn undefeated super welterweight prospect Erickson Lubin faces WBC world champion Jermell Charlo with Charlo’s title on the line.

A few years ago, Lubin was considered America’s best hope for a gold medal at the 2016 Olympic games in Brazil, but Lubin decided to move into the pro ranks earlier than expected, bypassing Rio. Since then, he has methodically worked his way up the ranks, going 18-0 in the process. At 23 years old and with 10 fights less than his opponent, he has ceded experience to Charlo but Lubin concedes little else in the match-up. For his part, Charlo has gone 29-0 and this will be his second defense of the WBC world title he won back in May of last year.

In this latest TBC segment, our cameraman Marcelino Castillo captures Erickson Lubin as he talks to the media before his first world title fight.

Showtime Boxing produced “Erickson Lubin: A Day in Camp” in the build-up to Saturday’s fight. Check it out right here.
