More Povetkin vs Duhaupas Talk – Saturday, December 17th saw controversial heavyweight Alexander Povetkin move his record to 31-1 with a fifth round knockout of Johann Duhaupas in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Povetkin was originally slated to meet Bermane Stiverne for an interim WBC world title and a chance to meet Deontay Wilder down the line, but sanctioning of the bout was removed at the last minute by the WBC due to a failed drug test by Povetkin, whereupon Stiverne pulled out of the fight.
