Ryan Martin Talks Post Fight – Lightweight prospect Ryan Martin scored the 16th knockout of his young career last night on Golden Boy’s Fantasy Springs show headlined by the Shabranskyy versus Barrera main event. Martin stopped veteran Yardley Suarez with a left hook at the 48 second mark of round four, moving his record to 17-0 overall.
Martin is signed to Tom Loeffler’s K-2 Promotions, and the young 23 year old native of Cleveland, Ohio appears to have great potential. In 2016, Martin got in ring time, going 4-0 in bouts scheduled for six and eight rounds. Martin will likely make the jump to the 10 round bouts in 2017, so you can expect to see him on a K-2 card in the near future as well.

In this latest TBC report, our own Kid Hersh caught up with Martin in the backstage area of the Fantasy Springs Casino just minutes after Martin had left the ring. Martin and Hersh share a comfortable, light conversation. The “rib” reference at the end regards Martin’s father’s restaurant. Check out more of what Martin had to say right here at TBC.
