Saunders Outclasses Lemieux To Retain WBO Belt – WBO world middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders used style and guile to thoroughly outbox David Lemieux last night on HBO. For Saunders, the fight may be a coming out party on the world stage, as the British fighter defended his belt outside of the U.K. for the first time. Lemieux, known for his big punch, was never able to catch up with Saunders who operated all night behind a murderous jab. At the end of the day Saunders won a wide unanimous decision. Is the winner of Gennady Golovkin vs Saul “Canelo” Alvarez 2 next for BJ?
