Top Rank Boxing Celebrates 50 Years in Boxing – Venerable Promoter Bob Arum and his Top Rank Promotions are celebrating a strong 2016 and looking forward to an even bigger 2017.
Foremost among Top Rank’s accomplishments in 2016 was the continued advancements of super lightweight Terence Crawford and super featherweight Vasyl Lomachenko. Top Rank continued to feature the pair separately and the two men responded with performances that left both firmly in the discussion for best pound for pound fighter in the world today.
Also from the Top Rank roster, 2016 proved to be a year where Manny Pacquiao returned and showed that he was not willing to retire and ride off into the sunset just yet. Pacquiao fought as the headline act for two successful pay-per-views and the Filipino superstar, who just turned 38 this past December, is in position for another big box office year in 2017.
