Former world champion Miguel Vazquez (36-5, 13 KOs) took on Erick Bone (16-4, 8 KOs) on a path to return to title contention tonight on PBC on FS1.
Both fighters came out slow and patient, with Bone trying to find his distance while Vazquez used his jab to establish himself as the aggressor.
In the second round the fighters mixed it up in the middle of the ring with Bone catching Vazquez with a right hook as the round came to an end.
The Ecuadorian Bone found home for his right hand in the third round, landing hooks to the to the body and to the head.
In the later rounds, Bone focused on breaking down the body of Vazquez, while Vazquez looked to land overhand rights.
Vazquez pushed forward, forcing the action and putting Bone in uncomfortable positions, making it hard for him to counter.
Vazquez and Bone clashed heads which caused a cut on top of Vazquez head. in the 9th and 10th round you could visibly see the blood trickling down his face.
Round 10 ended with wild exchanges between the two fighters, but it was Miguel Vazquez who won by a UD.
