Lotierzo Talks Whyte vs Browne Pre-Fight – Saturday, March 24th, Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing are back with another top heavyweight match. British fighter Dillian “The Body Snatcher” Whyte (21-1-0, 16 KOs) will defend his WBC silver heavyweight championship against Australia’s undefeated Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne (25-0-0, 22 KOs) at the O2 Arena (Millenium Dome) in London.
Whyte, a former kickboxing champion, won his title last October against Robert Helenius (26-2-0, 16 KOs) in Cardiff, Wales. Helenius started the fight well, hurting Whyte in the second round. Dillian bounced back and dominated the remainder of the fight to win a 12-round unanimous decision.
Browne, also a former kickboxer, made history in March 2016 by becoming Australia’s first world heavyweight boxing champion after winning the WBA (Regular) title. However, Browne was stripped of the belt two months later for failing a drug test.
On this segment our “Killer Analyst” Frank Lotierzo gives us his take on this important heavyweight match-up.
