Boxing Channel Analyst Frank Lotierzo is with us to discuss the main heavyweight bout of Pulev vs Fury on the card this Saturday, October 27th at the Armeec Arena in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs) will be facing Hughie Fury (21-1, 11 KOs) from the United Kingdom. Both men suffered their only career loss in a world title bid. Pulev was defeated by Wladimir Klitschko in November of 2014 and Fury was defeated by Joseph Parker in September of 2017.
The winner of this fight will not only garner the number one spot in the IBF heavyweight standings, but will also be next in line to fight IBF Champion Anthony Joshua sometime next year.
Lotierzo shares his thoughts on both fighters and this upcoming bout. He analyzes the pros and cons of the fight being held in Bulgaria. This will be Pulev’s first home court hosted fight, will the integrity of the judging be a factor? How does Fury feel about fighting in Pulev’s backyard?
Also discussed is the strategy and motivation of the fighters. Who is the bigger, stronger fighter? Will Pulev’s inactivity come into play? Will the fight go the distance or end in a KO? Who does Lotierzo believe will be the winner?
This IBF title eliminator fight will air live on ESPN+ in the United States at 4:15 p.m ET Saturday Afternoon.
