Juan Manuel Lopez vs Cristian Ruben Mino: Open Media Workout
This Saturday, New Champion Promotions presents “Redemption in Miami”, featuring Juan “Juanma” Manuel Lopez and Cristian “Piedrita” Ruben Mino as the co-main event.
Here both fighters are seen working out in South Beach, Florida in preparation for their upcoming fight.
Lopez (35-6, 32KOs), from Caguas Puerto Rico, faces Mino (19-2, 12 KOs), from Tigre, Bueno Aires, Argentina in a ten round lightweight bout.
Lopez, a three-time world champion in two weight classes, was the 2004 Olympic representative for Puerto Rico. In 2005, he made his professional debut and in 2007, he beat Ponce De Leon by TKO, winning the WBO Super Bantamweight title. In both 2008 and 2009, Juanma was named the Puerto Rican Fighter of the Year. He later moved up in weight and won the WBO Featherweight title against Steve Leveune in January of 2010. Lopez has wanted to fight in Florida since attending a Marlins game with Gamboa last year, when they both fell in love with the ambiance and character of the area.
Cristian Mino made his professional debut in December of 2014, at the age of eighteen. He had a busy 2015 and 2016 (19 bouts in total), with only one fight in 2017. This will be his second fight of 2018.
“Redemption in Miami” will take place in the West Plaza at Marlins Park. Doors will open a 6:00 pm ET on fight night, with the first bout scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm. The show will be broadcast live at 9:00 pm, via Integrated Sports Media’s pay-per-view.
